Photo Scanning

Optimized1With each of your photos, I will handle them gently and clean them of any dust, debris and fingerprints. Once placed on the scanner I will optimize the color and contrast and then scan them at 800 dpi. That resolution will allow you, with the help of software such as Photoshop, to easily enlarge them for viewing or printing. For example, an 800 dpi, 6” x 4” photo image can be enlarged up to a 300 dpi, 16” x 10” image perfectly suited for professional or personal printing. You can also dramatically enlarge them but drop the resolution down to 72 dpi for viewing or sharing on your smart phone, tablet, digital photo frame or computer.

Optimized3My goal is to provide digital versions of your photos in multiple formats so you can get the most enjoyment from them. After scanning your photo, digital images will be provided as an 800 dpi, high resolution tiff file that you can work with, view, enlarge and/or print either professionally or on your personal printer. They will also be provided as a more universally accepted, 300 dpi, high resolution jpeg file that will be easy for you to print professionally or on your own inkjet printer. Finally, they will be provided as a 72 dpi jpeg file that you can use for viewing or sharing on your smart phone, tablet, digital photo frame or computer.

I can also send them for prints (actual size or enlarged) or create a digital slideshow of your photos on a DVD or USB Flash Drive that you can play on your TV or computer.
